another fun filled week at the cabin comes to an end!! :( its always sad. We have such a great time, boating, playing tennis,eating, playing games, reading (yes i read the whole twilight series again while laying on the beach) watching movies and just being on vacation. I love hanging out with all my nieces and nephews they are so fun, and i'm pretty sure i'm their favorite aunt. haha. Well the pictures pretty much say it all. So until next post...

My good friend James Taylor passed away this past Friday, he was the only survivor of the medical helicopter crash in Arizona, but died 6 days after the crash, when his family made the impossible decision to take him off of life support, and let his struggle end.

James and I went through nursing school together and both had the goal to one day work on life flight. He recently got the job of flying with the medical team outside of flagstaff, AZ. He was soooooo excited and called to let me know that he got the job, i was so jealous, but so excited for him. He will be missed, he was a great nurse and a great friend. Although this is a tragedy, I'm glad he was able to accomplish a life long goal and die doing something he loved......

We'll all miss you James, thanks for making those long 2 years in school more bearable!

******************** Boating, Maddox and GLITTER TOES!! ********************

FINALLY!!! its seems like so long since we last went boating, and believe me my body thought the same thing the next morning, i couldn't even hold up my head i was so sore (more from wrecking then anything), but it was nice to get out on the water with our good friends ryan and amber and enjoy the nice weather. We went up to mantua, our favorite lake - don't worry that there is a sign up that says, "no swimming by order of the health department" we think they are kidding. :o) any ways after a 4 hours on the lake we went to Maddox for dinner, YUM!!! is all i have to say about that.

then this past thursday, amber and i went to this spa up in alpine and got glitter toes, they are acrylic and last about 8 weeks, you can get any color glitter you want, i got cotton candy, and amber got simply silver, they are awesome, the picture does not do them justice, they sparkle so bright in the sun, i heart glitter toes!!!!

********************1/2 way......HOORAY!!!!********************

So i've made it 1/2 way through my 12 week program. my goal over the 12 week program is to lose 30 lbs, so i'm pretty much right on track. I've lost 14.7 lbs but i like to round up to 15 :o) it sounds better. It hasn't been easy, let me tell you, i'm sore most of the time from the work outs, and even though i'm not ever starving, and i have pretty much lost any cravings for candy or sweets, i still pine away for a piece of Robintinos pizza. :) so that will be my first stop on July 31st. HAHA.

week 3 update!

so i'm not going to do a new post everytime i weigh in, i'm going to keep track of it on the side bar to the left, under "my quest for success" :)
and this week is why i question my thought process on posting my results.
I didnt lose 1 stinken ounce!!! but i did lose .6% body fat, which translates into 1.13 lbs of fat. so thats good.
needless to say, my trainer kicked up my exercise routine, so i will reach my first goal, of losing 10 lbs. by next week!!!!! hopefully. ;)

******************** IF AT FIRST YOU DONT SUCCEED.....********************

so i've debated whether or not to blog about this but then i thought to myself "self, this pretty much consumes your thoughts right now, so do it." so we come to this point.......
i've hired a nutritionist/personal trainer, so for the next 12 weeks, (well 10 weeks now) he tells me what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, and exactly what exercises to do everyday. I LOVE HIM. (not in love, just love)
Every week i go in for a 45 minute consult, he changes my diet, work out, and then the fun begins, he weighs me and then checks my body fat % and measurements. So i'm going to report my results on my blog every week, so if i dont, then you (who ever may be reading this) can call me out on it, so i have no choice but to stick to it. But to be honest, it hasn't been that hard. i feel great, and i have more energy then i've had in a long time.

I'm so excited about this, my whole family is doing it and they have all had similar results, who knew by eating healthy and exercising you could lose weight? ;) haha.

if i was oprah and i could have a "favorite things" show and give my favorite thing to all of my friends, this would be my #1 item. I fetching LOVE my new intelli-gel bed, it has changed my life, i have a bad back, (scoliosis) and i would wake up 10-15 times a night to switch positions. not anymore my friends, i gladly welcome the bed head that accompanies me to the mirror every morning, because it means that i spent enough time in one position and got some decent sleep!!!

for cinco de mayo me and arron went to LORAINAS mexican restaurant with some of the dudes that live next door. We love them, they are great neighbors. Happy cinco de mayo to everyone.

***************************** YOU WANT TO SCUBA? ******************************

Today we went on 2 dives, one was a ship wreck dive and we got to actually go in the boat and go through 3 different rooms, it was a little creepy to be inside a boat 70 feet under the water, but still really cool. Then we went on a shallow reef dive and saw 2 big sea turtles and 2 eel. So to sum it up, it was a great day of diving in Hawaii. When we were leaving the dive site, the cast of LOST showed up, they were going out to shoot a scene on the ocean, they never came out of their trailers while we were there, but it was still pretty crazy.
Then to top off the evening we watched a firework show on the beach after a delicious dinner. :) What a great day!!!

I HAVE THE BEST HUSBAND IN THE WHOLE WORLD. We both are having a great time (arron has fun when he is not working) and today is arrons last day of work and then we get to spend the rest of the trip together before we have to come back to reality. :( untill then.... ALOHA!!!

So this is how the conversation went-

ACT 1- in the hotel room
arron- "Lisa did you bring some SPF 50 sunblock for me?"
lisa- "no, we need to go to the ABC store and get some. i just brought 30 for me. "
arron- "yeah i need 50 cuz i dont want to burn and then peel. "
(so we go the abc store, get the SPF 50 for my white husband)

ACT 2- at the beach
lisa- "did you get the sunscreen EVERYWHERE?"
arron- "yes."
lisa- "are you sure?"
arron- "oh, i need you to put some on my calves"
lisa- "OK " -lisa applies sunblock to arrons calves.

ACT 3 - 10 hours later.
arron- "oh crap, i forgot to put some on my back."

So the day we checked in they put us in a room with 2 queen beds, i asked if they had a room with a king available, they told me to check back tomorrow and they would see if one opened up. I know your probably thinking, why not just sleep in a queen bed, well i wiggle like crazy and i hate being touched when i sleep. So thats why!!! So the next day i went down to the front desk and asked them if any kings had opened up, and they said the only one they had was on the pent house level....so i was like... "a OK" so i was so excited. RIGHT!!! well..... dont worry, the room is exactly the same as our other room, but it has a king bed.. hahaha i was so excited for a big fat nothin, but i still like getting in the elevator and pushing the penthouse button. haha, i feel high class, but dont worry we still have the same great view of the "ocean" :)

Anyway today was really fun and relaxing, we slept in then went to breakfast. after breakfast we went to hilo hatties (a big warehouse store with hawaiian stuff) and looked around, took funny pictures, (see picture to the left) and looked for some fun hawaiian souvenirs . :) the rest of the day we spent at the beach, reading, soaking in the sun and playing in the water. We didnt have our camera at the beach, thats why i havent posted any beach pics. we're having a great time, but i am missing my own bed. :) until next post, catch ya on the flip side.......ALOHA

Today we drove around the island, we went to a place called sharks cove, we were going to snorkel but the surf was to rough so we weren't able to get in, and the dive shop where we book our scuba diving trips was all full for the day :( but we did stop at an elementary school that was having a fundraiser and got some huli huli chicken and shrimp. it was delicious. Then we went and got a treat that consists of ice cream shaved ice, and its topped off with sweetened condensed milk, it was sooooo good, and fat free. haha.

well, i'm going to totally 100% copy kimi and blog while i'm in hawaii. :)
So we got here yesterday at about 4:00pm hawaii time, and didnt do to much, just got some food and walked around a little bit to try and find the palm tree arron carved his initials in last time we were her in 2005, we found it!!! so.... After all that excitement we came back to our hotel and went to bed at 8:30pm. haha, real exciting RIGHT!!! It was 12:30 utah time, if that makes us so we aren't such losers. Then this morning arron had to work at 5:30, so i slept in, went jogging then went to the beach to read and lay out for about 2 hours (i used lots of sunscreen, mom I mean HOLLY.) and now i'm just sitting on my balcony blogging away, and i wanted to post a picture of our "ocean view". haha............ hopefully my next post will be more exciting. until then...aloha.

We had Family Pictures taken before my little brother left on his mission. We were supposed to wear Levi's and black or red. So i took on the "slit my throat, I want to through myself off a building" task of going and buying a pair of new jeans. I went with my good friend Megan and we had the poor girl that works at the buckle running around like a crazy person, and after i found that "perfect" pair, we left her with a pile of about 30 jeans to fold and put back. But as you can see all that frustration, and fun time spent in front of the larger then life mirror, that makes you feel so good about yourself, was all worth it!! aren't my new jeans awesome. :( hmmm?

******************************* I LOVE LAST MINUTE PLANS!!!***REVISED***************************

So does everyone know that i LOVE last minute plans? Well i do!! So on thursday the 23. We're going to HAWAII..HOORAY. Arron's dad called and asked him if he could go to Hawaii and help on a job there. Before Arron was a "sophisticated" accountant :), he was a welder. Anyway, i said i wanted to go and just hang out while he is working. So, we booked our flights. The funny thing is, since arrons dad is buying his ticket and i have to use my sky miles and I could only get a sky miles flight out 2 days before arron gets there. So i'll be there by myself for a while, which i'm kinda excited about, I can't think of a better place to get some R&R. So to sum it all up, i'm pretty excited.

******************************My New Bike!!******************************

So Arron decided that he wanted me to have a bike cuz he wants me to go riding with him. Which i guess is kinda sweet, and I'm not opposed to the idea, but to be honest if i have one fear, its of motorcycles. Every time i ride one i wreck it. So its probably a good thing to face my fear and get on and ride. We went back up to the "V" today. (for those of you who don't know what the "V" is, look up at the mountain.... you see that "V" up there, well there is a place to ride dirt bikes) and by the time we left i could shift and i was going up hills, very little ones, but hills none the less. So I'm getting the hang of it. I only had to jump off my bike once when i got a little to over confident and tried to go up a pretty steep hill. :) But all in all..It really is a lot of fun.

P.S I know next to Arrons bike mine looks like a toy, oh well, it works for me.

********************What's New?********************

So i took a little Blogger Vacation!! If you haven't noticed. :) i just didn't really feel like i had much to say and to be honest it was kinda nice. :) but I'M BACK BABY!!! haha. With a life full of excitement and jammed packed with blogging opportunities........ PSYCH!!!! (flash back)

But we have had a coupe of changes since the beginning of 2008. Arron started a new job, as a Accounting Manager at American Express. He's taken 3 sections of the CPA exam and has one more to go!!! HOORAY.

ooooh, and I cut my hair. I cut 5 inches off.. that may not seem like a lot to all of you, but its a big change for me. I don't do my hair. its always pulled back in a messy bun or ponytail. but now i have to do it. Its a little weird, but i really do love it. Sorry about the crazy pictures but i was trying to take pictures of myself and felt a little weird about it, so i just started doing weird poses. :o)

And Arron finally got a dirt bike, he has wanted one since we got married. He found the "perfect" one on KSL of course!! so we drove down to St. George and back in one day, so he could pick it up. He has been acting like a 5 year old at Christmas all week, so we finally broke down and went up to the "V" (go viewmont) even though it was raining, and he got to ride his new toy..... He was so happy. I just booked around on our 4 wheeler. It was pretty fun, by the time we left we were both muddy, soakin messes.


Last but not least... My litte brother Austins Farewell is this sunday and he leaves in 3 weeks for his mission in Brazil, (think of the endless pictures i can blog) So untill then.. Catch ya on the flip side.
