GOOD BYE my dear 20's you have been good to me.
Hello 30's
I'm sure these next 10 years will bring me more joy and more stress then i can even imagine. but I'm grateful to share them with my best friend, and I'm grateful to finally start a family.
*warning--cheesiness below
to all of my friends and family who have been apart of my life, especially those of you who have supported me, loved me and prayed for me and Arron to be able to start a family....thank you.
we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
and although i feel humbled and a little unqualified for "motherhood"
i focus on a quote by Joseph smith
"the lord calls us in our weakness, but qualifies us for our work"
I'm sure i will lean on all of you as i start this new journey.

"why are you not baptised?"....

to quote a line from nacho libre "why are you not baptised?"..."because i never got around to it..OKAY"
for those of you who don't know, my parents have a kid name Juan living with them. Because of different life circumstances he didn't have anywhere to live while he finished his senior year. so the amazing people that my parents are agreed to let him come live with them, not knowing anything about him, but the word of a friend that he was a good kid. It was definitely a gamble that payed off. We love Juan, and are so glad that he is part of our family now. this past Saturday my dad was able to baptise Juan a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Juan had had the missionary discussions 3 times through out his life and never felt ready for baptism. I'm so glad he finally made the decision to get baptised and commit himself to living the gospel. We love you Juan and we're glad that you ended up with our family. :)

random happiness.....

this could be the most random post of all time but here a just a few of the things that have brought a smile to my face in the last few weeks.
1. the baby birds i got to see every morning outside of work.
2. not being able to pick my zucchini fast enough.
3. my mom and dad riding in the legacy 20 mile bike race, aren't they cute.
4. arron, given the choice of WHATEVER he wants for his birthday dinner choosing steak and mac'n cheese with hot dogs in it, making me question if he was turning 9 or 29.
5. last but not least, the start of UTAH football..
HOORAY!!

and remember......... find joy in the little things.

havasupai falls.....AMAZING!

pictures just cant do this place justice. It is absolutely amazing, and although you cant really call it a vacation because its more of an adventure, its a must for anyone who loves the outdoors. we hiked a total of about 30 miles. we had backpacks that were 40lbs each and blisters the size of Texas....and we would still do it again in a heart beat. its on the calendar for next year if anyone wants to join us.
some highlights:
jumping off 50 foot waterfalls.
finding a rope swing..score!
eating nothing but dehydrated food....gotta love dehydrated beef stroganoff with 1200mg of sodium, yum.
watching arron face his fear of heights...hahahaha
rafting down the river with $5.00 rafts from walmart, make sure to jump off BEFORE the 200 foot waterfall.
the helicopter ride out of the canyon... NO WAY was i hiking back UP!
realizing you take ICE for granted once you get home.
