"Goon"

* Lagoon 2012 *

As you can see, we are playing summer catch up on the old bliggity blog, but thats how it goes with a two year old that doesn't stop!
you click in to survival mode and hang on for the ride.
{ did you like that "ride" reference, seeing as the subject is lagoon?  yes i'm very clever }

Merry-go-round is not yet in gabes repertoire of words, so the hand gesture "round and round" come in to play as he yells "up-down-up-down"and you should know immediately that he is talking about riding the horse at "goon" and he LOVED IT!!

"CHO CHO, CHO CHO"
can gabe say train, yes! is it a lot more fun to yell CHO CHO when talking about a train? apparently.
another one of gabes favorites!

What was NOT one of gabes favorite things...Puff the magic dragon!
all smiles before the ride. However, as soon as the ride came to a complete stop
and before the lap bar was up or seat belt was undone, he wriggled his way out and on to the platform
yeah that makes a mama feel real great about putting her 2 year old alone on a roller coaster he can climb out of at will!!

 { there were a few tears and the level of bravery dropped a few notches }

so for gabe, the rest of the night was spent on the safety of the little kiddy rides or daddies shoulders.
and we will still chalk up his first trip to 'goon' as a success.

"have you seen or touched any monkeys?"

i hadn't been to the zoo in over 10 years, i was so excited to go and take MY little monkey.

 even though i swear half the zoo was closed for remodeling and the train is out of commission until 2014..what!!
Gabe didnt care or realize what he was missing out on, he was focused on all the things that were open. and LOVING it!!
 man i wish i were more like that, not worried about what i was getting gypped on and just appreciating what i had right in front of me!
i should probably keep working on that one.

he's getting so big so fast and FINALLY talking a mile a minute.
now every time i ask him what he wants to do he says
"daddy, mamma, nanna, zoo"

he is getting to be such a goof ball as his personality gets bigger everyday.
 if thats even possible, because honestly this kid cracks me up, he is a non stop circus.
here he is pretending to be a gorilla.
seriously, where does he come up with this stuff.

 but it never ceases to amaze me how loving he is. he still loves to give everyone and everything hugs and kisses. no lie, he sometimes hugs and kisses his gummy bears before he eats them. he looks at them and says "mama, teddy awwwe" kisses and holds it up to his cheek to give it a hug and then throws it in his mouth and gobbles it up.

his fear O' meter is all over the map.
he was TERRIFIED of the merry go round the first time he rode on it, i had to basically hold him down till he realized he wasn't gonna die.
{now its all he talks about}
but he will climb up on top of anything and try to jump off with no regard for his safety or his breakable bones.
he thought the bear that could tear him limb from limb was "coooo" and he
wanted to give the elephant a hug.

gabe is grandkid #1 on my side and that means nana cant miss out on any of his firsts, she is always tagging along, we cant seem to get rid of her. haha, its a good thing we don't want to.
gabe loves his nana!!!

he is such a cool little dude and i'm so glad we get to experience all these firsts with him, and see his face light up in complete awe at all this world has to offer.
he loves to learn and explore and do new things and while he still likes to do all of that with mom and dad i'm gonna eat it up.

 just a side note.. we didnt realize or plan to all wear UofU shirts, thats just how awesome we are!!!
 ha ha
 and thanks to grandma marsha for watching the little dude so we could take gabers out for some alone time without having to share mom and dad.
