~the deer hunt at bear lake...2008~

So the deer hunt came and went, and just like every year......no deer was killed by our family. i have yet to see my husband come home successful from the deer hunt, he has killed a deer and an elk before but not in the last 7 years we've been married (maybe i'm bad luck). At least he looks tough in his hunting gear. :)
however since we didn't get a deer to eat, we couldn't starve so we ordered the "old Ephraim" pizza, its pretty much the biggest pizza you'll ever see. DELICIOUS!!

~ Danielle and Alix ~

This past weekend i had two of my nieces sleep over, Alix and Danielle, they are 11 and 12. Can i just say that i had such a fun weekend, i mean talk about drama, these two tweens kill me. it took me back to jr. high, and what a fun/dramatic time that was in my life. shesh to be young again. We started the night off with dinner at robintinos..delicious, rented some movies then off to the yogurt stop for dessert. After watching a movie we went and sat in the hot tub. While sitting in the hot tub, we saw a shooting star, which of coarse we had to make a wish, now just to give you an example of how care free life is at 12, here are the wish's that were made. Danielle wished that we would have pancakes for breakfast, and Alix wished that Danielle would fall out of bed at night. hahaha, i'm 28 years old and i'm planning my wish out very carefully, making sure that its something really good. i wish all that i worried about was that i could have pancakes for breakfast, but nope it was much heavier then that....and NO i cant tell or it might not come true!
ahhhh to be 12 again. what a fun night with some awesome chicks!!

BOdY WorLd.....worth every cent!!!

This past weekend we went to the body world exhibit, there aren't enough words to describe how cool it was. I think it was well worth the $20.00 and think everyone should go see it, yes, even the kids. Its going on until January 11th at the Leonardo (next to the SLC library) and at the end of the exhibit there is a lot of interactive stuff for the kids to do. Its a must, in my book. :)

GoOd bYe SumMeR!!

Its been an amazing summer at the echols house, and i'm so sad to see it come to an end, but... I LOVE THE FALL, so its bitter sweet. its a little harder to go boating when its 60 degrees outside and the water temperatures lower then that, but how do complain about the smell of fall, snow skiing and all the holidays to come? You dont!!! you just embrace every season while it lasts.....thats why i live in UTAH!!!

So what better way to send summer out with a bang then to go to one of my favorite places on earth with some of my favorite people. Arron and i took a bunch of our friends up to our cabin and even though the weather was a little less then perfect, we still got in plenty of boating, tubing, water skiing and wake boarding to hold us over until next summer, along with a sufficient amount of eating, playing games and relaxing. We had such a blast!!!!! So i'm saying good bye to summer and hello to fall. Thanks for the great memories!

CONGRATULATIONS BABE!!!

Arron passed the final section of the CPA exam, we found out today, and i'm freaking out. i'm so proud of him, he has worked so hard over the past 18 months studying his little butt off. He is officially a certified public accountant. So for everyone who has supported him and been pulling for him, its finally over. HE DID IT.

I had a lot of fun. its pretty cool how everything works, and Frankie, DB and Jessica were super cool and way funny. i might just do it again. :)

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Breaking Dawn at Midnight * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Tiffany, Megan, Shanna and myself went to deseret book at midnight to get "breaking dawn". I think it got a little late for us "old ladies" cuz bye the time they let us in to get the book we were all losing our minds. Megan couldn't stop screaming, Tiffany who hasent even read eclipse yet, was there just for the ride, and didn't even get a book. However started reading eclipse on the way home (note the book is upside down). shanna couldn't wait to get home to read it, so started and finished the book on the drive home... she was driving, that was a problem. On the way home we drove past the line at Barnes and Noble which was about 1000 sorry losers deep and taunted them with our screams, waving our books in their faces. hahaha. we didn't get a very warm reception. Hmmm i wonder why. to sum it all up, we are hip and cool. ha ha love you girls.
