bear lake....2009

can i just say i fetching love bear lake, i know some would argue that its cold and windy and other lakes are better, but there is just something about that crystal blue water that i love. its pretty much heaven on earth. :)

"summer summer summertime"

i love summer time, we've had so much fun already. we celebrated out 8 year anniversary by eating at the cheesecake factory, one of my all time favorites, and since then we have been busy packing july with as much fun as possible.

arron is pretty much addicted to camping right now, so he planned a fun trip to san rafael swell to go camping and hike some slot canyons. he did a great job planning every detail from the perfect camp spot with all the "facilities" a girl could hope for, to the amazing 8 mile hike through wild horse canyon. what he didnt plan on was that the hike would take 5 hours and it would be 105 degrees outside.

We have gone mountain biking up mullerpark canyon to elephant rock a couple times already and let me just say 14 miles is not as easy as it sounds.

So all in all july has been GREAT.... i cant wait to see what august will bring!

8 is Great!

there are so VERY many reasons why i love my husband, that to try and list them all and put them in a post would be very long, mushy and boring to type and read.. so i will just settle with saying, thank you for the past 8 years. I love you, happy anniversary. XOXOXO

are you kidding me!?

so my dog bo...where the fetch do i start. he is pretty much a train wreck. so on the 4th of july he got in a "little fight" with my moms dog, who is a little Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, but who is ALOT stronger then him. yeah, well she bit his ear and it bleed and bleed for like 3 hours, he kept shaking his head and breaking the clot off so blood would spray everywhere, our house looked like a murder scene. well i had to put my nursing skills to good use and bandage him up, he didnt like it, but it did the trick. not exactly the way i wanted to spend my 4th of july, but whatever!

GreEn THumB??

i may not have the word "garden" in my name, but i should! i mean, look at my zucchini plant, its almost as big as me! and what about those trees... i cant believe they were ever that small. when i planted them 2 years ago i didnt think they would get so big so fast....Hooray for summer.

WALK THE WALK

there is nothing like spending a whole week with women who make you proud to be woman and a daughter of god. i was lucky enough to go to girls camp this past week as the "camp chef". the theme this year was "walk the walk", implying that as daughters of god we don't just "talk the talk" we need to "walk the walk" and always try to be an example and live the Gospel as we try to mirror our life after our savior. What a wonderful example these young girls and the others leaders were to me as i strive to "walk the walk" in my own life. :)
