organize this!

see this crazy masterpiece of limbs and cheeks and baby blues.
this is why i get behind on documenting regularly.

i can barely keep up with these 4 crazy boys in my life.
it happens SO FAST!!
summer turns to fall and I'm like
what the??

and time just keeps on.....

but luckily while days and nights are rocketing past i manage to get the camera or phone out and snap a few pics of my favorite quad o' boys.

 i was looking through pictures trying to organize and categorize them in to neat little computer folders
so i could start trying to catch up on the old bliggity blog and what do you know.
i said screw this!!
so i snagged all my favorite pics from the last couple of months,
in a very unorganized fashion, i know i'm living on the edge, and here we are!
a post about my very favorite people.

 with no rhyme or reason, no focus, no subject.
just snippets of what our life is really like.
day in a day out.

MASS CHAOS!
Sprinkled with love, laughter, tears, tenderness, fighting, friends, fun and a whole lot of crazy!

 and moments that remind me to STOP and take it all in!

so its ok if i don't document every outing or every holiday event!
as long as I'm living it up and loving on these boys!

then once in while if i can throw up a post or two
 between filling chocolate milk sippys
and the trips to costco to get the 6 gallons of milk i need to last me 2 weeks.
I'm counting that as a win.

and i have to say that the unorganized chaos that is my life
is way better when it doesn't fit into neat little computer files!

did i ever tell you?

11 months old!!
whats new with gabe this month?
1. crawls around chasing and annoying his little dog Bo.
2. stands up by himself, but no walking yet!
3. has 6 teeth.
4. has a cold AGAIN!.... shocker!
5. smiles ALL. THE. TIME. even when he is sick. which is a lot it seems.
6. says "mamma, dadda and doggie" and knows what they mean.
7. L.O.V.E.S. mandrine oranges.
8. still takes two, two hour naps a day, praise heaven above! (i feel this might end soon)
9. claps and waves bye-bye. i'm not real sure if he realizes there is a difference between the two, they are kinda a package deal with him.
10. adores playing with other kids.
11. and my favorite, he loves being read to, you can get out a book and he will crawl over to you as fast as he can with a big smile and sit on your lap clapping and laughing the whole time.
FETCH I LOVE HIM!

did i ever tell you about this blanket arron made while on paternity leave for 2 weeks after we had the above mentioned little one?
yea, its a quilt! he went to the fabric store, picked out the fabric, put it on quilting frames and tied it. but his mom bound it for him.
if you're questioning his masculinity, i understand, but i assure you he is still a mans man.
he is just getting more domestic in his old age.

**UPDATE**

SWEAT, TEARS & 10 MORE YEARS

update #1
Well my friends, if you don't remember the previous post about the running fiasco, you can check it out here.  but i'm pleased to report..."I'M BACK BABY"!!! if you think this is a post about me tooting my own horn then you're dang right it is {although i like to think of it more as a humble brag} and i'm not even sorry, because people, there was a time that i didn't believe i would ever be able to run longer then a mile without breaking down in tears. I mean i'm no marathon runner {yet} but i feel pretty dang good about my progress.

arron and i participated as a relay team with my mom and dad in the legacy duathelon {run, bike, run}
 i ran a 5k then my dad biked 22 miles then i ran another 5k
(side note.. i averaged a 10min mile and was still 6th to last during the first 5k, sheesh, there are some fasties out there)
arron ran a 5k then my mom biked 11 miles and arron ran another 5k

me and my handsome dad took 2nd place in the relay category.
{there was a total of 4 relay teams. haha}
{he's really handsome if you can look past the outfit}

i've been training for the wasatch back relay that is coming up here in a couple few weeks and i'm pretty sure i'll survive now.
my jogging partner tiff and i after we ran our first 6.2 miles on a beautiful saturday afternoon. we never needed to stop and walk and alas, there were only tears of joy ;-). we are pretty proud of ourselves.
{and no i'm not sun burned, i just get that red when i run}

So i like to think that i've joined the group of you moms out there that keep on tuckin' even when growing and birthing those little bundles of joy threaten to take away our ability to function let alone run a mile or two.

update #2
again if you missed the plant blog post and your a little confused, you can catch up here.
remember how this little buddy wasn't looking so hot, well i did some pruning and gave it a little extra TLC and now its thriving, proving to myself and all of you that were worried..gabe has a chance. i mean what is the average life span of a house plant? i think 10 years has exceeded that..no?

cleaning debt...

you know that feeling when you have enough money for your bills but thats it and you just wish that some one would plant a money tree in your back yard so you could get rid of the debt that your not touching.
well thats how i feel about cleaning right now.
ive got enough in me to clean my house, keep it presentable in case an unexpected visitor shows up. i even have enough in me to shine the mirrors and dust the 6 inches of dust off the fans, ive cleaned the bugs out of light fixtures and scrubbed toilets. but that goop in the corners of the shower that i cant get to go away with out a good dose of elbow grease is not going anywhere (i was even taken in by the Kaboom commercials and went out and bought a bottle, but have yet to try it out). or the blinds!!! where to begin? ive wanted to get the dust off of those since before i was preggers and now my little dude is 7 months old, but lets be honest, i've lived in this house for 5 years now, and NEVER, i repeat never cleaned my blinds. (you may want to reconsider coming over if you have a bad dust allergy)...and the floor boards... the shower glass. all these things that i keep hoping will magically go away....dont. I even really do love to deep clean, that feeling when your house is all sparkly and happy and smells like pine sol.
but you see,
i've gotten into cleaning debt and i cant seem to get out, so if i could just get back "zero" and start with a "clean" slate, i swear i would keep up.

this and that

i know what you are thinking... "i didn't realize lisa had such superior sewing skills" well now that you know don't go asking me to make you anything i'm booked out for months.
this little number is fuzzy soft zebra fabric sewn into a square(i use that term loosely) and stuffed with a LOUD sunchips bag. {there is no sneaking any of those chips for a midnight snack} but gabe loves his new little creation.
I know, I know, i'm soooo clever!

Saturday was the annual University of Utah young alumni 5K run/walk/crawl...what ever you have to do to finish. this bad boy was mostly up hill and pushing the BOB didn't make it any easier. but we finished and we'll do it again next year.

sunday dinner at my house was spaghetti, salad and delicious home made tuscan italian bread, and instead of doing the dishes i decided i would buy a disposable plastic table cloth and we could put our food right on the table. it was so much fun. i think ill do this for every meal. ;o)
